September 9, 2008

We arrived in Dusseldorf in good time; favorable jet stream winds. Ilona and her father were waiting for us at the airport. It was wonderful to see Ilona again after nearly 20 years; tears and all. And to meet her father, Wim.
We traveled the 200 km to Sellingen, Holland very quickly. We were traveling at about 80 mph (130 kmph). Marcia closed her eyes as cars traveling at nearly 100 mph (160 kmph) zipped by.
The four lane highways are all tree lined; it was truly beautful. We passed a lot of wind generators, they were everywhere along the route to Sellingen.
The picture is of Ilona (standing next to me) and her parents Wim and Rika. Do we look like we had been traveling for a day?
We rested a bit, are now posting this and then will spend some time with Wim and Rika and get acquainted with Sellingen.
Oh, yeah. I forgot the adapter to the power

Where's mom? Taking a nap inside? It's almost as important to stay awake that first day as it is to BRING THE POWER ADAPTER YOU BORROWED FROM US! So is this how you spent the Euros we gave you?

I'm guessing Marcia is taking the picture. I only hope she was not the one driving
